About The Nutritious Chef

I have worked in nutrition since 2015: running my own clinic supporting clients improve their health; as a private chef cooking bespoke meals for clients with specific health concerns; teaching cookery and nutrition at a Sixth Form; running cookery and nutrition workshops and speaking at various events.

I haven’t always worked in the world of nutrition. My background is in training and recruitment at airports and investment banks and then in careers advice at universities. My interest in nutrition has always been there however, with friends often photographing my enormous salads at university, something which I believe helped me get through those years with my health relatively unscathed!

After deciding not to go back to work following the birth of my first child I embarked on a 4-year course at the prestigious Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London to become a Registered Nutritional Therapist. Initially I ran my own clinic, seeing clients with a vast array of health concerns. It soon became evident that there was a missing piece of the jigsaw. Like most of us, my clients were busy people with developed habits and a rotating menu of food that was easy for them to prepare without really thinking. I completely understood this as I was in a similar situation. It was only when I started working as a private chef alongside my clinic that I really started to vary what I cooked for my family as I knew how to prepare these meals quickly and easily. I began to offer cookery workshops to my clients showing them how to prepare and cook some of the meals I was recommending, and thus The Nutritious Chef was born.
